Our Impact Mission
At the Seattle Finance Collective, our mission is to cultivate a vibrant, cross-disciplinary community of finance professionals who are committed to advancing both their industries and the region they call home. Founded in 2016, SFC brings together leaders from investment banking, asset management, private equity, venture capital, fintech, accounting, law, and corporate finance to exchange ideas, foster meaningful relationships, and spark real-world impact.
Our members don’t just show up — they lead. They take initiative in their firms, mentor rising talent, contribute to high-impact deals, and play active roles in shaping the direction of Seattle’s financial ecosystem. Through thoughtfully curated events, executive panels, mentorship programs, and philanthropic initiatives, SFC empowers members to accelerate their careers while driving innovation and excellence across the broader financial landscape.
We believe that the most enduring professional success is built not just on knowledge, but on community and shared purpose. Whether it’s helping a student take their first step into the finance world, collaborating on new business ventures, or giving back through service and volunteering, our members are united by a shared commitment: to elevate the finance profession in Seattle and create opportunities for others along the way.
SFC exists to connect, empower, and mobilize finance professionals who are ready to lead with integrity, build lasting relationships, and leave a meaningful legacy — in their careers, their communities, and across the industry.

Seattle Finance Collective was honored to partner with Washington DECA in 2025 to sponsor two scholarships awarded to graduating high school seniors with a demonstrated passion for finance and a clear commitment to pursuing it at the collegiate level. This initiative reflects SFC’s broader mission to support the development of the next generation of finance professionals and contribute to the long-term strength of the industry in our region.
Washington DECA is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for successful careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. With chapters embedded in high schools across the state, DECA equips students with the business acumen, leadership skills, and real-world experience needed to thrive in competitive industries.
Several members of the Seattle Finance Collective are proud DECA alumni themselves, and this scholarship initiative was a full-circle moment for many — a chance to give back to a program that helped shape their early interest in business and finance. By providing financial support to outstanding students who have already demonstrated academic rigor, extracurricular involvement, and leadership potential, SFC aims to remove barriers to higher education and encourage young talent to pursue impactful careers in finance.
These scholarships represent more than just financial aid — they’re an investment in future dealmakers, analysts, advisors, and changemakers who will shape the financial industry in the decades to come. We're proud to play a role in their journey and look forward to continuing our partnership with Washington DECA in the years ahead.
Seattle Finance Collective is proud to have partnered with the University of Washington Professional & Continuing Education (PCE) to fund need-based scholarships for the Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Certificate Program — a transformative initiative designed to accelerate women’s pathways into entrepreneurship, innovation, and executive leadership.
This program was specifically developed to support women pursuing a wide range of entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial goals — from launching their own companies and joining early-stage startups to advising, investing in, or championing new ventures within existing organizations. The curriculum combined practical business training with hands-on experience, empowering participants to strengthen their business models, sharpen their leadership skills, and expand their professional networks.
Through our partnership, SFC provided financial access to high-potential candidates by underwriting need-based scholarships for program participants. But our involvement extended far beyond funding. Members of the SFC community actively contributed their expertise as coaches, mentors, and guest evaluators, offering real-time guidance throughout the program. SFC professionals hosted office hours, shared tactical advice, and served as judges during the capstone pitch presentation — helping participants refine their value propositions, investor messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
The impact of this partnership was twofold: it enabled women from diverse professional and personal backgrounds to gain critical skills and access new opportunities, while also giving SFC members the chance to engage meaningfully in mentorship and community development.
